Two pairs of boxing gloves needed, one for Davies and one for Christie!
Davies bashes OCG
"RIDICULOUS," SAID Dr Omar Davies, the minister of transport, works and housing, in response to Contractor General Greg Christie who said unsolicited proposals are corruption-enabling devices.
"I have seen many open tenders that are corrupt," Davies told The Gleaner yesterday. "The notion that because it is an unsolicited proposal it is inherently corrupt is ridiculous," said Davies.
The Office of the Contractor General yesterday fired a second salvo at the Cabinet for its decision to set up an independent oversight panel to monitor the award of contracts to three investment projects.
But Davies, the portfolio minister for the projects, said he would not be drawn into any discussions about the contractor general's letters or press releases.
