Rainbow "around" the sun

Anyone seeing this where they are? Or is it only in some parts? Haven't read anything about it just my neighbour pointing it out.

is this supposed to be a big deal?!? i thought it happened all the time?!?! it's really a halo and is nothing to worry about.

thanks...though I was not about to sell the farm... i was more curious as to whether it was visible from only certain latitudes...
