Excellent post Don. Just review the Mighty Sparrow's lyrics from the early sixties. Full of sexual mataphors but not offensive except for Queen Elizabeth, but who cares if she wanted to be offended. That was the idea anyway.
I don't understand why a person who has been studying Jamaican music for a long time, attendind concerts for a long time, and writing about the music as a professional journalist should be considered as uninformed. If he is not informed, then who is?.Comment
