Security beefed up at OPM
Office of the Prime Minister, OPM
New security measures have been implemented at the Office of the Prime Minister, OPM.
This follows the disappearance of a mixing board in the Press Room, the venue for the weekly Jamaica House briefings as well as media conferences.
A statement from OPM says a security review was done of the entire property and recommendations made for the upgrading of surveillance equipment and other features that will improve the security of the property and ensure greater safety of employees.
Among the new measures already implemented is the installation of a security gate that restricts movement in sensitive areas.
Additional security personnel have also been deployed at entry gates for the purpose of more stringent searches of vehicles entering and leaving the property.
