  • Jamaican dollar to lose value - Analysts

    Analysts are predicting that the Jamaican Dollar will continue to lose value against the US dollar over the next few months.

    At the close of trade yesterday, the selling rate for the US dollar inched closer to the J$87.00 mark settling at $86.98.

    The selling rate for one US dollar was J$86.98.

    Financial analyst, Dennis Chung said he is not surprised by the continued slide of the Jamaican dollar.

    However, Economist, Dr. Davidson Dawey, said he expects the value of the Jamaican dollar to one US dollar could reach $89.00 over the next few months.
