        Sigh, why do i bother.

I asked you if you would have a problem with a song that advocates the raping of a 10 y.o. if the beat and melody was "catchy" as you put it.

We already know that you have no problem with a song that puts rape at a higher moral level than homosexuality. So we are making the "natural progression" from there.

Di man seh him would a tun a rapist before him tun a **********man...he has no intention of turning a **********man...therefore there is no chance of him becoming a rapist either...

Some serious logic and reasoning dat....

              A must occur before B
              B will not occur
              Hence......... A will not occur?

Anyway, scratch dat. You going to answer your question or not? You would have a problem wid a catchy rape chune?

What is lacking in our music today is:

                      1. The musicality
                      2. The lyrics
                      3. The topic
                      4. Good SINGERS

Dancehall will always be rhythm-driven with catchy empty lyrics...nothing no wrong with that, but the serious reggae singers are also singing crap. There are only a handful of good reggae tunes out there. The real travesty though is that our female reggae artistes are doing better songs than the males but are not getting the recognition nor the promotion.

Remember, Ranking Slackness had a different audience...dancehall and radio or public domain a 2 different ting...mi no have no problem wit slackness music but not for airplay (public) or taxi etc....back in the day, you would hve to 'punch a chune' fi hear slackness...and guess what was the tune "Bagwire in his underpants"...or "fatty fatty"...
BTW dat yute STILL deh a school??? Him look very 'mature'.

but you can't blame the DJ. You have fi blame the people who control the media who is forefront in playing the tunes..
