Two male students of the Bog Walk High School in St Catherine are now facing criminal charges after attacking and beating a policeman on the school compound today.
The boys are to be charged with resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer and assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
It’s understood that the policeman had to seek medical attention after the attack.
The policeman, who is the school resource officer at the Bog Walk High, had responded to reports that a group of boys was gambling on the school compound.
It is reported that the boys who attacked the cop are part of the ‘Fry Fish Gang’ which has been creating problems at the school.
