CAGED dancehall Deejay Vybz Kartel, was again remanded in custody when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court this morning to answer to a charge of perverting the course of justice.
His co-accused Vanessa 'Gaza Slim' Saddler and Andrew henry, also known as 'Pim Pim' had their bails extended.
All three were ordered to return to court on May 8.
The court was told that the police could not account for Henry's passport and as a result he could not take up his bail which was offered to him on January 16. A condition of bail was that Henry hand over his travel documents to the police.
Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey then reversed the condition to allow Henry to take up the $200,000 bail offer.
The prosecution is contending that Henry contracted Saddler to make a report to the police that she had been robbed by Clive 'Lizard' Williams.
Williams’ murder was, in fact, committed before the date of the alleged robbery and the prosecution is contending that the report was made in order to give the impression that Williams was not dead.
Williams was allegedly beaten to death at a premises in Havendale, St Andrew in August 16 last year over the disappearance of two firearms. The crown is also contending that Vybz Kartel participated in the beating.
