It's a stretch to say we had two civil wars. Regrettably, the hypocrite net in Jamaica is much wider than the political scapegoats - the politicians, both JLP and PNP. They were aided and abetted by a culpable public, professionals, businesspeople, lawyers, doctors.....bankers, especially banks...it's a deep-seated corruption that pervades the society - where shades of gray rule the roost, from the mechanic who rips off the unsuspecting single Mom to the traders who pass off cheap goods at premium prices, the price gougers during hard times, the excessive fees by lawyers, private practioners and contractors, the opportunistic one-up-manship by most Jamaicans to rip-off or 'eat a food'....
Let us look at the society as a whole, the total breakdown (or almost) of our cherished institutions and moral fabric.....we have a looong way to go.Comment
