A dispute between two men over a car battery left one of the men with a piece of his lip bitten off, THE STAR understands.
The incident reportedly happened along Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston recently.
A relative of the injured man told THE STAR that the dispute arose after her cousin loaned his friend a car battery.
It was later discovered that the wrong battery had been returned when he took his car to be inspected.
"When him ask him bout it him couldn't tell him whey him battery deh and dem start fight," the relative said.
THE STAR understands that both men along with a female passenger were travelling in a vehicle when the incident unfolded.
"Dem start fight from inna the car and all pan di car trunk dem reach," the relative said.
She explained that it wasn't until the female passenger started screaming that the injured man realised that a piece of his lip had been bitten off.
"Him work a one a dem call centre deh and a bout two weeks him affi miss work," she further stated.
THE STAR understands that officers from the Hunts Bay Police Station were called to the scene.
However, when contacted, the police said no report was made regarding the matter.
