<SPAN class=news_body>RJR News has been informed that Mr. Greene, who has reportedly been dismissed from the NSWMA, is to take legal action against Mr. Peart for allegedly tarnishing his reputation.
Legal action will also be taken against the NSWMA Board.
According to reports reaching the RJR News Centre, Mr. Greene, who has remained silent since being sent on leave last September, has decided that the time has come to clear his name.
Following a meeting of the NSWMA Board on Tuesday, Minister of State in the Ministry of Local Government, Harry Douglas, announced that a decision had been made to end Mr. Greene's tenure at the <SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: blue! important; BORDER-BOTTOM: blue 1px solid; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana,Arial; POSITION: relative; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent">solid </SPAN><SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: blue! important; BORDER-BOTTOM: blue 1px solid; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana,Arial; POSITION: relative; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent">waste</SPAN> agency.
No reason was given for the decision.
A source told RJR News that Mr. Greene has given instructions to his <SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: blue! important; BORDER-BOTTOM: blue 1px solid; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana,Arial; POSITION: relative; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent">attorneys</SPAN> to take action to seek redress because he has not been informed of the reason for removing him from office.

That ultimatum expired on Tuesday.
It is reported that the Minister of Local Government has declared that Mr. Greene will not be reinstated despite a recommendation from some NSWMA Directors that he should be given back his job.
This has reportedly angered some of the Directors who have threatened to resign.
Mr. Greene was sent on leave last September in the wake of allegations that he was associated with a company which obtained contracts from Metropolitan Parks and Markets and Western Parks and Markets.
