FORMER finance minister Omar Davies, Head of the transition team responsible for the take over of the incoming government, says the outgoing administration has offered its full cooperation and the transition has been going smoothly.
Speaking today at the party's first press conference since last week's General Elections which the People's National Party won handsomely, Davies said he and the outgoing Prime Minister have been working together, paying immediate attention to the true state of the economy and social sectors.
"There has been less than adequate information provided in that regard and hence before we make any definitive statements as to what will be carried out in the short term, the first order of business will be to ascertain exactly what is the present situation," Davies said.
He said the relationships with the International Monetary Fund and the state of the economy were of paramount importance.

...is there some double speak there?

...outgoing administration has offered its full cooperation...
    ..and...

Both just do not go together...right?

If you are a politician , they do! LOL.

Next week we will hear that the situation is "very bad, worse than we thought".

The 2nd quote seems to refer to the period the JLP was in active Govt and their withholding of information at the time

They seem to have come around now

The leader of the JLP, Mr Andrew Holness, gave notice that the campaign for the next general election would begin the day after December 29. This cannot be. What needs to begin right now is the rebuilding of the Jamaican nation.
                Full cooperation?!?!?
