With regards to world affairs I do not think there is any country with as ignorant a population as the US.
Most will of course say that they do not need to know anything about anywhre else."It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men" - Frederick Douglass

There are poster here who have never been to six parishes in Jamaica...
When Yuttie was here, he had never been out of Kingston or the Corporate Area, it was only after he flew out of Norman Manley to go over seas that he returned to Hanover to visit relativesSolidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

I have been in St. James, Trelawny, St. Ann, Hanover, St. Catherine, St. Andrew, Kingston, and to Portmore, soon to be the future 15th parish in Jamaica.

That may be true but that same average Jamaican, uneducated as he may be, quite often has a better grasp on what is happening in the world than the average American in the street.
Most Americans also do not know thier sitting congressman and certainly could not identify them from a photo. Hard to find a Jamaican who does not know who thier MP is. The reasons for that are not necessarily all positive but it is what it is."It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men" - Frederick Douglass
