they more than any other major players in the process have to go back and reinvent themselves.

I saw Delano at a press conference with Karl Samuda two days ago sitting and looking smug as if this thing was wrapped up and another five years to go.

Tonight Some one asked Samuda if he thought G2K went too far with the negative ads and if he thought they helped them lose the election and he said some crap about future etc...if G2K is the future of the JLP they will be in opposition another 189 years.

I agree but Samuda defended them...the set the tone...and the tone was not accepted..it was too brash, too crass....

Just like Samuda.. remember how he launched into Seaga calling him a "little despot" after switching to the PNP...

btw, sickko the jlp's strategy of talking down to portia was in effect talking down to the majority of jamaicans... the people of jamaica were offended by the jlp's attitude... by belittling portia's way of speaking, they essentially made people who spoke like portia (which were the majority of jamaican) come out to support her... the people realized the pompousity and elitist attitude of the jlp and rejected them...

I was talking to some friends from Kingston and they said it was the first time they saw so many older people coming out to vote and even standing in the sun... people were tired of the JLP's rude, crass behavior and manners

I believe that it was a deliberate overall party strategy to use G2K as the attack dog to do the nasty work.

Very strange stategy for a party that was promoting youth and change. They were practicing type of politics that was more in the dark ages than the older generation, and that is quite a high bar to scale.

I agree fully! G2K was all nasty, while the JLP ads were, for the most part I feel, quite measured and effective. Were they still effective now that they have lost? Yes, but maybe the nastiness from the G2K was more effective from a negative standpoint.
