NDM Disgusted By Display Of Garrison Politics By PNP Supporters
    Published: Sunday December 25, 2011 | 1:33 pm3 Comments
The National Democratic Movement (NDM) has expressed disgust at what it describes as a display of garrison politics in West Central St Andrew during a tour of the constituency by Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Friday.

The NDM claims the prime minister, who is also the Member of Parliament for the constituency, was cursed and barred by People’s National Party (PNP) activists from touring a section of the constituency and expressed disappointment that the Opposition leader, Portia Simpson Miller and the PNP caretaker, Patrick Roberts have remained silent on the incident.

However, the NDM has also criticised the Jamaica Labour Party, noting that Mrs Simpson Miller was also prevented from attending a meeting in a section of the constituency because of security concerns.

The NDM says the electorate should vote against parties which demonstrate a reluctance to address garrison politics in the December 29 polls.
