It does not matter if Jamaican women have been caught smuggling drugs into Antigua. That is no reason to lock up these two because there is no evidence that they were drug mules.
The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

So send dem home then. Don't give them entry, that is thier right.

But again we don't know the full story.

Agree Hortical. It appears pretty obvious why they are there. I would have sent them back on the other flight to Jamaica, without the mistreatment. One has to wonder if the mistreatment stories are true thouigh, and should be independently verified by others. It seems as if everywhere these type of Jamaicans get rejected for entrance, the story is the same. sounds almost like that is the default story among this sector of the society. I would have blocked them from entering too.

Peter, we have never independently verified that these people were ever treated as they said they were. I am getting very suspicious of these stories. If true then we all should condemn it, but remember these people are capable of telling lies. In fact, many of them are engaged in activities which thrive on lies and deceit.

"She did not commit a crime yet."

Is it a crime to have sex? Here are my issues:

                      1. She had US$331 on her person - so what? She was planning on meeting someone who would be doing the spending. What if she planned on using a credit card to fund her stay.
                      2. For those who assume the worse that they were there to solicit sex for money, how do you prove that?
They did nothing wrong and did not break any laws and should not have been treated the way they were. This is a blatant case of profiling. It is time Jamaica and the government stop with this farce about caribbean unity and pull out of CARICOM. Every country enters into these trade agreements to benefit itself and realistically, who needs who?

The irony is how many americans, britishers visit our shores who are on public assistance(welfare) with less than that in the bank or on person, to have sex!

This cannot be justified in anycase, be it us or them,to exclude them.

Madness to assasinate the womens characters as sex workers , based on how much money was on person and the reason for the visit , as i have said millions have visted our shores with less credible reason and less value on person.

I dare anyone to label her as a sex worker.
