WINDSOR, Portland:PEOPLE'S NATIONAL Party (PNP) leader Portia Simpson Miller on Thursday cautioned Comrades not to be lured by deception and trickery from members of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).
The PNP president was addressing party supporters at a mass meeting at Windsor Castle in West Portland, following the conclusion of a four-hour tour of the Rio Grande Valley in East Portland to drum up support for candidates Linvale Bloomfield and Rohan Quest in West Portland.
The PNP claimed that the JLP will be making every attempt to bribe voters ahead of the general election, which will be held on December 29.
In addition, Simpson Miller urged the dozens of young people, who gathered at Windsor Castle, clad in orange, not to lose hope, as the PNP will provide them with the opportunity to be employed, and also to attend university, especially those who were earlier deregistered.
Quest who will face off with the JLP's Daryl Vaz, said West Portland is now orange country and urged party supporters to vote out Vaz who has called himself Mr Portland.
