    ISSA football squad departs today for Florida

    An Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) football squad is scheduled to depart the island today for Fort Lauderdale, USA, to participate in a three-match tour.
    A total of 17 players will join Shaunavon DeSouza, who is already in Florida, to round out the full squad.
    The 18-member squad, consisting of players from the just-concluded Manning and daCosta Cup competitions, returns to Jamaica on December 19.
    On the tour they are set to face Weston Academy at 6:15 pm on Friday; a Haiti XI at 10:00 am on Saturday and a team from West Pines at 8:30 pm, also on Saturday. All matches are set for 35 minutes with a 10-minute half-time interval.
    ISSA declared that the selection process was limited to choosing players who were holders of United States visas.
    Officials: Dr Walton Small (ISSA president), George Forbes (ISSA Competitions Officer), Aston Messam (Manning Cup chairman), Patrick Walters (Technical Director), Anthony Williams (Coach), Jerome Waite (Assistant Coach).
    Squad: Ackeemo Palmer, Bryan Brown, Davion Kelly, Jason Wright, Jason McLean, Kameil Harrison, Kevon Farquharson, Leopete Cole, Levaughn Baker, Najee Cameron, Newton Henry, Nico Campbell, Paul Wilson, Romario Jones, Shenaldo Parkes, Tevine Simpson, Vincent Mitchell, Shaunavon DeSouza.
