The governing Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has conceded that it did not create as many jobs as it would have liked.
This admission by JLP leader and prime minister, Andrew Holness, this morning came against the background of the party's pledge in 2007 to make job creation the centrepiece of its administration.
Holness again conceded that jobs have been lost, but blamed this on external factors such as the global recession.
Holness was speaking at a press briefing in New Kingston.
