DPP to rule on threat-issuing policeman
A file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for a ruling in the case of the policeman who was arrested on Friday, following allegations that he threatened to kill a man with whom he had a dispute.
The policeman, a Corporal, is attached to the St. James Police Division.
His attorney, Christopher Townsend, told our news centre that the cop was interrogated on Tuesday.
It is alleged that following a dispute over money, the Corporal went to the man's house, in Spanish Town, and threatened him.
He reportedly left one round of ammunition with the man as a warning.
The man took the ammunition to the Spanish Town Police Station, where he filed a complaint.
The Police High Command subsequently ordered the arrest of the Corporal.
