Ska, a rich and unquestionably creative genre, is a reflection of Jamaica’s promising and glorious past. Therefore, that’s where it (ska) belongs!
Today, as Jamaica moves gradually but with an obvious sense of purpose towards that no-man’s land known as a Failed State, the genre known as dancehall is a much more relevant reflection of where we are. So, let ska remain in our rich past and let dancehall continue to rule our decadent, failure-laden present.
