Finsac was a result of numerous business entities and so called business entities not strategical managing their money A number of these organizations used the banking system due partly by banks which offered many loans which were above the true value of the business. A number of these businesses also utilized the banks liberal loan schemes to literally sell their business . That is borrowing money way in excess of the the true value of their business and not servicing the loans. with the interest rate at the time being high these loans ballooned and affected the banks profitability hence the need for FINSAC to save these banks and prevent a financial meltdown

What a way DK never get into the interest rates to much and the impact of them of many of the situations. Don't sound like him want to talk much about the execution of the program either.
