  • Man Bites Man In Groin

A fight between two men over a policewoman has landed both before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court in a case and cross case.

The men, 27-year-old Dwayne Drummond from Gordon Town, St Andrew, and 37-year-old Stanford Lewis from Ewarton, St Catherine, pleaded not guilty to the charges of unlawful wounding and malicious destruction of property on Friday.

Both accused had their bails extended until January 9.

Allegations are that on October 19, about 7 p.m., Lewis, who is the father of the district constable's one-year-old child, and Drummond, the cop's current boyfriend, were in a physical confrontation at the home the cop shares with Drummond.

The court heard that during the confrontation Lewis used his teeth to bite Drummond in his groin area causing it to bleed.

However, Lewis said he only bit Drummond to get away from him.

The court heard that Lewis received injuries to his left jaw and right palm.

Further, he said that the glass on his silver Honda Fit motor car was smashed.

Interestingly, both men told the court that the other attacked first.

Drummond said Lewis attacked him in his bedroom while Lewis said he had gone to look for his child when he was attacked.

In her statement, the cop said that she was unaware that Lewis would be visiting her home because he did not call to make any arrangements.

She also said that when she arrived home from work she saw a large crowd, the front door torn off and damaged pieces of furniture outside the house.
