Given the time and circumtances that Portia was born, I would say she is a symbol of Ja's work ethic. In her time there was no free pass to high school. It had to do with who you knew and the money you had. Those circumstances did not deter her from Joining a party whose ranks were filled with "intellectual giants" and work her way to the top.

Nothing was given to Portia (she had to run for president twice), no one looked at her and said ah Portia you are pretty and photogenic, lead the party.Nope she had to fight (at times in the literal) Many on this site who were born in the 70s on up, that can now talk of debate and intellectual giants (I hope you know that it's becuse of Portia who was on the front line to make sure that you did not fall in the one in two illiterate Jakan).

Many call her stubborn but that's the mark of good leader. Imagine if you sell her the importance of education to Ja's future and she decides to stick with it? I would walk with Joshua any day and I can say the same for Portia (she is a warrior queen).
