UPDATE: 8 guns seized in Portland

THE Portland Police are confirming the seizure of eight illegal firearms and 749 rounds of ammunition. Two persons have been taken into custody in connection with the find.
This seizure took place in the Manchioneal area early this morning.
The guns seized are:
• Three .357 Magnum Revolvers
•One .38 revolver
•Three 9mm semi-automatic pistols
•One .45 semi-automatic pistol
Two men have been taken into custody as the Portland Police, assisted by senior detectives from the Organized Crime Investigation Division (OCID) and investigators from the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division (TCND), intensify their probe into the matter.
Commanding Officer for the Portland Division, Superintendent Noel Christie, while commending his officers, made it clear that no stone will be left unturned in the course of the investigation.
“We strongly suspect that this is a part of the guns-for-drugs trade and we intend to bring all the players to justices,” Christie said.
