  • JLP Unity? Or...

The JLP top brass claims they are almost ready with their list of candidates to contest the next election.

We also hear and it seems to be true that the PNP leader has forced candidates on some constituency.

yet every night on the news we see green clad JLP supporters protesting the candidate foisted on them by their leaders..the latest protest came in Clarendon where a three time loser's shirt was burnt in protest and the voters are claim if he remains they will not vote.

Maybe its time for constitutional reform and a little thing thay call "PRIMARIES".
Forget the Westminster 2 card monti farce. It is a joke. Useful idiots of both parties force all kinds of clowns down the people's throats, and the people have to simply stand by as innocent victims. Elections can be called ayntime one person thinks he/she wants to call them. I could go on. What a joke in modern times.

"joke in modern time? " you realise how many countries still use it in the 21st century?

Did they say he was force on them? The people them say he is a loser and they want a wining candidate. It is possible that he won the local internal poll but it doesn't mean there is no opposition to him.

Unity means no demonstration or people within don't speak out? I don't think the people speaking out is at odds with their party, they just want a "better" local representitive.

Sickko it also happen in the PNP. Some people demonstrate or say they don't want a MP. It happen in Portland not so long ago, and this week them a dance up together when PNP bus pass through.

In Jamaica you will alway find some people against MP as resources are not enough to go around, the difference is, is it isolated packets or a big piece of the constituency. In any contituency you can find 20 people to hold up a poster on any JLP or PNP side.

You making mountain moldhill. Selecting candidate is not alway easy some people not going to be please and going to make their voice heard.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

No I cannot tell you how many countries do that...nor do I care about that number. In addition most people would not associate me with thinking that the USA is the "rest of the world" as you put it. In fact I would guess a popular view would be the opposite.

Whether it's a primary system or sintin else...it's clear that Jamaica needs political reform...my preference for that something else is a formal Social Contract

To reference the number of countries with the backward neo-colonial system we have... in order to justify a belief that it represents a "modern" system is a ludicrous position. Quantity and quality are distinctly different constructs

Even the US have Neo-Colonial system in place. How many countries don't??????? that was a part of the british empire?

Not because you want certain changes everybody else is in the 20th century as you would like.

The Westminister system is still used in the 21 century in case you didn't realise it and even if we use another system it doesn't mean the end of as you put it Neo colonial system.
