A 36-year-old bussinessman who is accused of biting a female employee on her genitals after she refused to let him 'taste it' after numerous requests, will go to trial on March 12 after he pleaded not guilty to indecent assault yesterday.
The defendant, who operates a business in the New Kingston area, appeared on a summons before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday and had legal representation.
It is alleged that the defendant had been making sexual advances towards the complainant over a period of time but all his efforts were rescinded by her.
However, it is alleged that the accused was undaunted and continued his sexual advances towards the woman.
It is further alleged that on July 22, the defendant asked the complainant for a taste of her private which he reportedly described as being 'fat'.
When the complainant refused, the defendant was said to have bitten her on her genital.
A complaint was made to the police months later as it was reported that the complainant was apprehensive that she would lose her job if she reported the matter.
Interestingly, the complainant was said to have been fired by the defendant shortly after on the grounds that her performance was below par.
The complainant has since sought redress for her dismissal.
