  • Ziggy Marley wins his third Grammy Award

The best reggae album Grammy went to Ziggy Marley for Love Is My Religion.

With the Melody Makers he won awards in '97 for Fallen Is Babylon, and in '89 for One Bright Day.

I love One Bright Day. I was listening to it recently in my car.

BTW, Stephen Marley was supposed to release his solo CD from around mid last year, but he kept putting off the release. Do you think he did not want to go up against Ziggy for Grammy why to this date he has not released it yet? The CD is supposed to be titled Got Music.

I think Stephen can take the palace by storm. I was listening to the Nelly CD, Sweat Suit and Stephen is featured on a track. He did a good job too.

I consider One Bright Day to be his best work. At most Ziggy shows you will probably see mostly non-Caribbean people in attendance, and his music has much broader appeal outside the community.

Yeah, often times I have heard the Marley crew often stagger releases from the family so as not to compete with each other.
