Vaz confirms Golding, Holness visit to Washington

INFORMATION Minister Daryl Vaz, today confirmed reports that Prime Minister Bruce Golding and his likely successor Andrew Holness will visit Washington DC today.
Speaking at this week's post cabinet press briefing at Jamaica House, Vaz said the visit is timely and is intended to provide assurance to the multilateral agencies, including the International Monetary Fund, that there will not be a change of the policies of the government.
He said they will be assured that the change is only one of leadership at the top and that the policies which the government has pursued over the past 4-years under the leadership of Prime Minister Bruce Golding will remain.
