"maturity and professionalism" was being displayed all along. A gov't that wasn't afraid to make unpopular decisions to benefit the economy was clearly displaying maturity and professionalism. Pity so many busy majoring in minor.

I think Lazie will never get to I will leave it alone. I will tell you this, the JLP did alot of sweet talking but not alot of it was actually pushed through. Remember promises of making tough decisions to cut Public staff, cut otherexpenses and blah blah blah..What was done? They survived off the JDX, China, and IMF. The crime bills and the forced extradition of Dudus helped the economy so much. I haven't heard anyone quote the impact of reduced crime to the country but it must be a significant saving. Much less has been spent on funerals and other victims of crime and some of that money I imagine went to more positive initiatives. .From where I sit, Mike Henry, Audley Shaw, Tufton, Holness,Bartlett..all these guys did reasonable well for the JLP. None of these guys were targets of most of the criticism on this forum. People like Vaz, Nelson, Bruce and Lightbourne were heavily cricitcized because of their associations, corrpuption, and constant lying and deceiving of us Jamaicans.
Lazie this is not a JLP and PNP argument, we must demand better and more from our leaders. Gone are the days where we should sit back and allow our leaders to be mingling with the same criminals who are robbing and killing innocent hardworking Jacans. No one on here idolize Patterson or Portia. While I don't have a vote, I was in Jamaica 2007 persuading all family and friends to vote for Bruce because we needed a change from the nonperforming slack PNP government. I still think Bruce was overall more effective than Portia and PJ but he got tainted in corruption and the Dudus saga so he had to go. I hope Andrew can take charge and rid is team of anyone who has any scent of corruption on them....That, said, with this change of Leadeership, the JLP should easily take the next elections. As much as I was against Bruce and the few for their corruption acts, Portia and team has done or said nothing new that would make them a better option.
