Obviously it's likely that the resignation was engineered by the United States. That stuff about internal strife making him weary or low poll numbers is obfuscation ... fluff. All parties have serious divisions most of the time...the JLP seems to have it all the time...Polls go up & down...so what's new there?...Nothing.

Jamaican leaders don't surrender power without a strong push...usually by voters at a general election...so Gelding's move is very fishy....especially a few weeks after the "Chris" guilty plea. No doubt the JLP PR machine will try continue to put a positive spin on this tribal shocker. Including PR team members on this forum..LOL

Based on the strange timing of the move... in election season & a few weeks before the tribe's conference...and the fact that senior people in the tribe are SHOCKED by it... only the foolish or naive believe that nonsense about Gelding being "patriotic" or going "for the good of the party". That he is personally in some legal jeopardy is the most likely reason...and that jeopardy can only come from the USA...

Babylon has spoken via this resignation.. it was so foolish to test them publicly in defence of a despised criminal in a crime ridden country. How utterly foolish can one likkle man be? Amazing stupidity by this guy.

If he didn't see the need to resign last year when the pressure was at its most intense, why do so now especially after enduring and surviving the Manatt reality show? There is some other force at work.
