    Sandals to recruit management trainees
Sandals Resorts International (SRI) has announced a relaunch of its Management trainee programme (MTP) as a part of its 30th anniversary activities. The intensive two-year training and development programme will give budding young leaders from across the Caribbean an opportunity to positively impact the growth of the region's tourism product through hands-on training from one of the World's most celebrated Luxury-Included brands.
Director of business processes and administration for Sandals Resorts International, Wayne Cummings, noted that during Sandals' 30 years of operations, the company has invested heavily in the development of young Caribbean nationals, who are now among the brightest and innovative managers in the tourism sector across the Caribbean and around the world.

The Sandals MTP will be the centerpiece of SRI's Management Succession Planning Strategy, as the 'best of the best' from within the resorts, along with new hires, will be exposed to the region's most comprehensive Luxury-Included Resort experience, covering all areas of hotel operations.

Following the submission of all applications, there will be an intense selection process - including a series of extensive interviews by SRI Group directors and resort general managers to identify the most suitable candidates for the programme.
The official recruitment drive for the management trainee programme is now in progress, with the final selection of candidates expected to be in place at assigned resorts by January 2012.
The management trainee programme was originally introduced in the mid-1980s and placed on hiatus in 2009. The relaunch of the revamped MTP represents an added feature of the Sandals Resort's ongoing investment in training which
