FORTY-six-year-old Nathan Brown, a coach of the Jamaica swimming team, was Thursday charged in connection with the alleged robbery of $2.68 million at Empire Supermarket in Kingston.
Brown, who is from Kingston, has been charged with robbery with aggravation and illegal possession of firearm.
The robbery allegedly occurred on the morning of Saturday, August 27, at the supermarket in Cross Roads, St Andrew. Some $2.62 million of the alleged stolen funds has been recovered.
The matter is being investigated by the Half-Way-Tree Police.
