If Dudus is convicted and it is later voided by the supreme court because of the controversial evidence,by testifying in this coming trial,is Dudus at risk at providing federal prosecutors with evidence in the second?
The wiretap act was modified afterwards,and the judge that gave the okay for the wiretap did so with stipulations.
Dudus deserves to go to prison but it seems legal battle is inevitable.

not sure ..... but most laws tend not be "reaching back" to criminalise something that was not a crime at the time it was done.

if dudus is convicted in the US, the legality of how the evidence was obtained would be moot at worst and at best, a mere academic exercise.

The US only "respects" its own laws, and I doubt any higher court would throw out the conviction on the basis that the wiretap evidence collected in (or from) Jamaica supposedly violated Jamaican law.
