  • Dudus wire tap motion denied

ALLEGED Jamaican drug lord Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, this morning received a blow when a United States judge refused his motion to exclude the damning wire tap evidence from his upcoming trial on September 12.
The motion was filed on the grounds that the wire tap evidence was illegally obtained by US prosecutors from Jamaican authorities. The prosecution, however countered that argument, positing that evidence was gathered through an agreement that allowed for both countries to share such information.
    Coke...wire tap motion thrown out
    1/1
The defence was of the view that the prosecution's case would unravel if the wire tap evidence was thrown out.

That's too bad. Interesting that the arguments put forward by his lawyers mirrored those of the Golding administration. I wonder if the US justice guys saw the Hard Talk interview. Had Dudus' lawyers sent them a copy I am sure he would have been OK.
