Connecticut Bradley Int. Airport proposed as hub for Air J

The Mayor of Hartford in Connecticut is proposing that Bradley International Airport be made a hub for Air Jamaica.
Mayor Pedro Segarra says he will lead an effort to make this a reality.
He made the disclosure on Tuesday, August 16 as Hartford celebrated West Indian-American week.
He encouraged Caribbean nations to do more business in Connecticut, and announced plans to use the state’s fast-growing West Indian population to draw investment from the region.
Mayor Hartford is also looking into establishing an office for the Caricom trade bloc and a Caribbean products distribution center.
Officials also agreed on plans to send a trade mission from Connecticut to the Caribbean next year.

This has been explored on several occasions, and the airline decided to continue with its terminal at JFK instead of an additional terminal at Bradley. Its an election year and he is pimping for votes.

Caribbean Airlines is still using the Air Jamaica brand name at some of its terminals, if that is what you are asking.

I had heard that they had stopped using Air J Shipping at a few of their shipping locations and suffered a falloff in customers so they decided to go back to it. I don't know if that is true or not but it would not surprise me.
