A majority of the people here are against the mindless fools who are rioting, the only problem is it feels like the situation is out of control.

If anyone says that they are rioting because of the shooting of Mark Duggan I can tell you now it simply isn’t true they are rioting for financial gain and the opportunity to damage property and fight the police.

The news is getting a bit confused because the riots began after a peaceful march in memory a hood rat who got shot to death by the police, those people rioting are not rioting for him it’s all for their own self gain.

Its clearly not about the shooting but you can see there is a lot of pent up frustration going on there. Haves and have nots kind of thing.

the communities have to take some of the responsiblities. It is much easier and 75% cheaper for a black youth to college in the UK. I am not sure my kids are not going to college there because the highest tutition to any government school is between 6-9 thousand pound a year and if kids are between (not 100 sure about the age) 16-21 they get schooling free if they want. If you are unemployed you get help and the even give you money to buy suits and to start working.

It is not a bed of roses and I know it is tuff but the community leaders need to get some of these young people on the right track. It is much cheaper outside of London and in the midlands apartment and rent are MUCH CHEAPER. You can get apartment starting at about 300 pounds.

But talking about the fustration, well it might soon happen here.

Oh year, we do what we want. Well, there is a thing called accountability. Nuff arses will be in jail for a damn long time.

If college was 100% free it still won't make a difference to someone who don't believe college and that kind of professional life is for them.

I have come to realise that social mobility is mostly about BELIEVING things can get better, and that there is better way to live. Is a mind thing.

Thats why many immigrants tend to do well, they BELIEVE. After a generation or two in the new country that belief is mostly lost for our people and not just in the ghetto. I see that in many of my younger cousins born here in the US and it is sad. Limited or no ambition to do better than thier parents did with so much more opportunity.

i-man them have it better in some sense. You see no massive foreclousure in the UK. That is because judges will not allow people who can afford to leave their houses. Young mothers are taken care of. The sad case is most of the black in England are first and second generation immigrants but fall in the trap.

We have some responsibility as well. One thing I notice in England is many young people don't twice before starting a family. The system have to blame but we also have to bear some responsibility.

on CNN they showed some of the goods on the floor of a supermarket. lying there were a couple of red stripe beer cans. i assume they were unopened. what, rioters don't have good taste!?

it was indeed interesting to see where all these politicians were vacationing.
