  • Al Sharpton is suppe'n else....

Rev. Al described Speaker Boehner as a quarter-back who called his team into a huddle...and when the team went to the line of scrimmage--his team turn around and sack him!!!

This was after last night non-vote on Boehner's bill.

    It was a good analogy!

I don't agree with the Tea Party-ites on a lot of things but there is something refreshing about the way they call thier own shots and don't let these career politicians dictate to them how to vote.

If only they were not such fanatics about not increasing taxes because quite frankly they could have got trillions more in spending cuts if they appeased the Dems just a bit with allowing a few tax loopholes to be closed.

They have this battle already won, the question is whether they will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Lets see if Obama has a card in his back pocket left to play.

He steps before the cameras (rides in on his white horse) and signs or decrees that the debt limit increase! - Saves the poor, the disadvantage, the middle-class, stands up for the American people, balb! blab! ... ...etc., etc.

Big Hero! USA! USA!USA! ...and the people shout Rah! Rah!

...and a stupid Republican tries to impeach the President for Saving the People and is run outta town after being tarred and feathered!!!!

          Very good eye Islandman!

Washington need deep changes in how it operates. The Tea Party has basically established that long held way and mores* of washington may be a thing of the past.

Want to see them hold hard-end on lobbying:

          *
          (môr'āz', -ēz, mōr'-)
          pl.n.
          • The accepted traditional customs and usages of a particular social group. Moral attitudes.
          • Manners; ways.
[Latin mōrēs, pl. of mōs, custom.]

(Remember we used the above term in Sociology?)

That is certainly one scenario but it is risky. I can hear cries about the Marxist Dictator already.

But this is the guy who decided to send in a half dozen helicopters to take out Bin Laden, after the previous President spent trillions in 2 wars trying to do same for 8 years. He will play the high stakes game if he thinks he has a reasonable chance of success.
