<President of the Caribbean American Foundation, Dr Bevan Earle, in presenting the award, noted that it was being made for the first time in the 13-year history of the foundation .

"This award exemplifies, in every respect, his contributions in the fields of not only education and entrepreneurship, but everything that he puts his hands on during his illustrious career," added Earle.
Noted attorney and board member of the foundation, Clayton Morgan said Stewart's track record and pioneering pursuits in the fields of education, volunteerism and entrepreneurship throughout the Diaspora were legendary.
"It is for this reason that the foundation has resolved to bestow this honour upon him," he explained.>
