The police must first charge the suspect with leaving the scene of the accident, not folloeing the protocol regarding the use of a firearm(suspect should have handed over the weapon)and fleeing Jamaica to avoid prosecution;his travel documents...).
This would prevent his capable lawyer from being successful in filing a habeas corpus(sp) a few weeks from now.

I got a BlackBerry broadcast message today saying the man's licensed firearm has been used in four previous murders but nothing came of those cases and people are clamoring that this case should not be allowed to go the same way.

Want to bet it wont end like that this time? Just saying. Maybe he has a lot of bacakative in the legal and under ground circles but Karma can be a beyatch.

There was a case here in MoBay a few years ago when a friend of mine's husband was involved with a young teacher at their child's pre-school and when he found out she had another man, her real boyfriend, things got out of hand and he killed her.

The case was dragging on and on for years until one day some one waited for him right in front of the school and as he dropped off the child they shot him in the head point blank and just walked away.

Despite dozens of eye witnesses no one was ever held.

Not saying for a moment that it is right...but what you just outlined happens every day in, I dare say, all countries across the globe.

What was said about who makes the rules?

                    Ooooh yes,

He who has the gold - money - makes the GOLDEN RULE!
                    ...or was it?

He who has the gold - money/power/status/etc. - makes the rules!

You do get the feeling that this might end up differently. I sure hope so.

The public outcry has to continue and not ease up for it to happen though.

It made a difference during the Dudus saga and it can make a difference again.
