More 'Corruption'

<The Government has signed a contract worth US$696.9 million to develop a master drainage plan for all the major towns in Jamaica.

The agreement was signed this morning with Stanley Consultancy Incorporated, a US based firm which has been given 12 months to complete the plan.

The towns that will benefit from the plan include Spanish Town, Ocho Rios, Falmouth, Montego Bay, Annotto Bay, Port Maria and Santa Cruz.

The Kingston Metropolitan Area will also be targeted.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Mike Henry has confirmed that the damage to the country’s infrastructure caused by heavy rains weeks ago amounted to $500 million.

He said work to repair the Sandy Gully in St. Andrew is to begin shortly>

It may be that the execution of this plan will take US$696.9m ...until the GOJ and prime sub contractor YP Seaton tun dat into US$1B

The cost of work leading to plan formulation by these consultants will be a fraction of that US$696.9m ...mebbe JA$696.9m?
