  • Milwaukee: Bizarre News Capital Of The World

    Milwaukee has been home to some bizarre news events the past few days.

    Monday, a news truck belonging to WDJT TV (Channel 58), en route to a story about the dangers of thin ice on area lakes, went off the road and into a channel leading into Big Muskego Lake. The truck broke through the ice into about 5 feet of water and muck.During the summer, the channel is used as a boat launch. The driver told police she thought she was still on the snow-covered road leading to the channel.

    The truck and equipment, valued at $250,000, was a total loss. Nobody was injured.

    Tuesday, a man came home to find his ex-girlfriend in bed with another man. The first man poured a flammable liquid on the second man, who ran from the house, leaving a trail of fire. There were 13 children in the house. The house was burned to the ground.

    The second man recieved treatment for burns, but ran away because there is an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

    Tuesday night,fans rioted after a high school basketball game between Milwaukee high schools Bradley Tech and Bay View. Tech won the game 82-81 in overtime.
