<APPROXIMATELY $540 million is to be spent to construct a new wastewater facility in downtown Kingston as the Government moves to deal with the problem of raw sewage regularly flowing on some streets in the market district.
Daryl Vaz, minister with responsibility for information, recently told the weekly post-Cabinet press briefing that Cabinet had approved a US$6,343,220 contract for Kier Construction to undertake the project.
The facility will be located at Darling Street western end of the capital.>
