From my early teens I have always been a huge fan of this great South African trumpeter and flugelhorn player! It’s not necessarily his techniaue that grabbed me, but perhaps primarily the depth of feeling that comes out in his every recording. One can almost feel the pain and frustration of life in racist, troubled South Africa in every Hugh Masakela recording.

I have never heard the particular selection you posted before now. My all-time favorite by Masakela is probably “Strawberry”:
