Unless one is also of the opinion that the Deputy Solicitor General was also trying to 'protect' Dudus outside of what protection is to afforded any citizen of the country.

There is no upside to that.. Golding does not need Dudus to run his constituency or win an election in Tivoli or nationally so.. what exactly is going to happen now that he has failed to 'protect' him ??

There is way more upside to NOT having a Dudus around so if anything Golding should have been trying to ensure the validity of the process and mek sure there would be no mis-fire...
Wid all dem whole heap ah upside deh,,,dat mean seh Gelding nice!!

Unu mussi think Jamaica is Bruce Golding's wife. Talking bout " ..rebuilding his relationship with Jamaica". He doesn't need to rebuild nuttn. He needs to gooooo! After all, Jamaica didn't marry Bruce Golding. We didn't take any vow saying ' till death do us part'. So him cyan part now, or yesterday, or last year for that matter.
Bruce Golding & those touting Bruce Golding are all lunatics. Corrupt, mentally crippled, bottom feeding lunatics. Even if these clowns get voted in again, it would only show even more & so sadly how diminished & insane the collective Jamaican psyche is. For about 3-4 generations now(30yrs.)Jamaica has been loosing more & more their collective ability/sense of hearing. They have to feel bleed suffer & die for anything to seem real, or make sense to them. Golding, Vaz & co-puppeteers are ' legends in their own minds '. Go to hell! You're no good! & you know it!
The PM is now going to be embarking a PR campaign to try convincing the Jamaican people that he is to be returned as Prime Minister. Please do not go wasting the Tax Payers' money on that exercise. His time and the Jamaican People's money would be much better spent seeing to the fixing of the roads, equipping the schools, hospitals, police and fire stations and rehabilitating the train service. Let me offer some unsolicited advice to the Prime Minister. Do more work and much less talking. That is the best way to rebuild his relationship with Jamaicans. Take it from me, who like many of my fellow Jamaicans, tired of all the talking you politians do with very little positives to show for it.
NO matter what ANYONE said, Mir Golding is the VERY BEST to look after Jamaican affairs. THE PNPs LACK ideas. RIGHT now they are ONLY trying to SCOOP ideas of this JLP government. WHAT has PNPs nightmares have to offer Jamaicans? NOTHING, but LOUD mouth begging and no policies to present to the Jamaican people.
Ideas to govern. None. ONLY to RUN with it, to hide things from ONE another, to do their own thing. JAMAICANS, you are being warned, BE CAREFUL OF PNPs NIGHTMARES.
We would like to come back to Jamaica to live and to do business, BUT NOT with a PNP regime. THOSE PNPs nightmares, TURN our minds and hearts FAR from Jamaica, if they are in power. REMEMBER under Manley THOUSANDS ran away, FINSAC and the PONZI SCHEMES, make us feel that we are living in a DEN of HUNGRY LIONS (PNPs). PNPs must get lost forever out of Jamaica. Let Mr. Golding CONTINUE to BRING back people and REBUILD Jamaica again. Mr. Golding and his wonderful ministers can do it.
Any leader who have to be thinking about rehabilitating his image, is Leader acknowledging a severely damaged image; Good for him but resignation would be best for the country and organizatio nhe currently lead to give them a chance
Bruce Golding image would be well on the way of recovery had he resign long ago. The people of Jamaica, collectively will never forgive his actions.

If he didn't lie, at best he MISLED...

                          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_G...dition_request

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips and Christopher "Dudus" Coke extradition request
On Tuesday March 16, 2010, Opposition member Dr. Peter Phillips in a sitting of Parliament made reference to an alleged contractual arrangement between the Government and a United States law firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips to lobby the US Government on a treaty dispute[5] between the two countries that had arisen as a result of the Jamaican Government refusing to sign an extradition request for Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, who is wanted in the US on charges relating to narcotics, arms and ammunition trafficking.[6] The Golding Administration refused to sign the extradition request on the basis that the evidence was obtained contrary to Jamaican laws. Mr. Golding denied claims that Manatt, Phelps & Phillips was contracted to represent the Jamaican Government.[7]

Golding with the President of Brazil, Lula da Silva.
A US Justice Department filing under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) showed that Manatt, Phelps & Phillips had secured a contract worth US $400,000 to represent the Jamaican government in the treaty dispute.[8][9] Karl Samuda, Minister of Industry, Investment & Commerce , made a statement in which he noted that unnamed members of the Jamaica Labour Party had approached Harold Brady, to see whether, through his wide network of international contacts, he could assist in facilitating the opening of discussions between the US Authorities and the Government of Jamaica, and thereby, seek to resolve what had become a treaty dispute between the US and Jamaica.[10] In a statement made by Mr. Golding on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Parliament, he revealed that he had sanctioned the initiative to lobby the US Government but that the initiative was to be undertaken by the Jamaica Labour Party and not on behalf of the Jamaican Government.[11][12]
Following his revelation, the Opposition People's National Party, its youth arm the PNPYO, and the National Democratic Movement have called for his resignation as Prime Minister.[13] Manatt, Phelps & Phillips maintains that they were contracted on behalf of the Jamaican Government through Harold C.W. Brady of Brady and Co and have since severed ties with the Jamaican Government.[14]
On Monday May 17, 2010 in a televised address to the nation,[15] Prime Minister Bruce Golding apologized to the Jamaican people for his involvement in the Manatt affair. He stated that in a meeting of the party executive he was prepared to step aside as Prime Minister and leader of the Party. The executive rejected his offer and reassured their support for his role as party leader and Prime Minister. In his statement he outlined new measures including, assigning some of his portfolio responsibilities to other government Ministers, and a renewed thrust to enact legislation for: the impeachment of parliamentary members, term limits for the Office of Prime Minister and political party finance reform.[16] He also confirmed that Attorney General and Minister of Justice Dorothy Lightbourne will sign the authorization for the US authorities to commence the extradition case against Christopher Coke.[17]

Now he ADMITS in the Inquiry he sanctioned their hiring.... after pretending to NOT know anything about the law firm... The man mek up story!
