The discussions so far has taken the bird's eye view of JA/BAR-CARICOM relationships, which is great. At the same time the thread starter was also specific in that it dealt with the specific case of MS Myrie... whose allegation is still being considered by JA, while B'dos would like to shut the books on it.
Let's hope for her sake that she will get satisfactory closure to the issue... the "fact " that she would concoct such an allegation, which she had to have done according the the Bajans' findings, is worrisome. Why would anyone self-respecting person subject herself to such potential scrutiny and humiliation by doing so? There is more to this than Barbados would like to admit IMO.
As for the Guyanese in Barbados, they will soon be flocking home as that country's economy is bound to take off... and plenty Jamaicans will be going there too... size of country with the amount of resources it has, coupled with a small population of about a million means that they will need skilled people to move forward.
Ah gone, gone guh tek out mi Guyanese citizenship! LOL
