The name of a maroon warrior I believe. Probably an African name misspelt. I am quite sure that Tacky was a maroon leader.Comment

You are correct, the name is taken from a Maroon chief. I just hope the students of the school and the surounding area are taught this bit of history so they can be proud of the school and not allow it to be used as a negative.
There was this good football player that Westman would know from Falmouth named Junior Brown, used to play for Violet Kickers back in the day.
