A judge in Dane County (Madison) Wisconsin has issued a temporary restraining order blocking Wisconsin's new law preventing collective bargaining by public employees.
The judge ruled the manner in which the law was passed violated Wisconsin's open meetings laws, which requires 24 hours notice before a legislative committee can call a special meeting.
The Legislature could meet at a future date and pass the bill again.
