It's time to understand that this entire Dudus episode is essentially NOT about legalisms... lawyers can make arguments on both sides to suit their client's respective agendas...a self serving opinion on the law is their job to regurgitate.
This Dudus issue is REALLY about MOTIVATION....
1. WHY did the GOJ try to block the extradition for 2 months using every legal (and possibly illegal) means at their disposal...when in prior cases they cared not about petty legalisms and exercised their "discretion" in favour of extradition
2. WHY did the JLP engage Manatt in September 2009 and try to make it appear as if the engagement was by the GOJ thru Brady
Unnu ah get too caught up with the sophistry of the various attorneys performing on a stage and the petty legalisms they spout..
The bottom line is that regardless of the legal merit...Gelding and the JLP tried their utmost to defend their party colleague Dudus...until forced by local and international pressure to give up the criminal to judgement ...nutten else
