  • D.A.Jay disses Kartel in another song

Christian Artiste D.A.Jay releases another song lashing Kartel; public support increases (DJUn)
    Friday, January 28, 2011 at 10:20am

Dwayne "D.A.Jay" Jackson, the Christian artiste who earlier this week released a hard hitting dancehall song criticising mainstream dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel has continued his 'letters to Kartel' with a second song entitled, "Find the Way (Final Letter to Kartel)." In "Find the Way" D.A.Jay returns on an uptempo dancehall beat by McDove with even more commentary on Kartel, this time encouraging him to come to Christ directly.

Like the first instalment, "Find the Way" has received an immense reception online amongst Jamaicans and persons overseas. One person who downloaded the song online declared, "I not used to Gospel music that sounds like this, but jah kno this is the best song for 2k11."

"I want to show all a Jamaica that hype songs nuh haffi be bout slackness or violence and dem dont haffi encourage the youths in the wrong way. Kartel a di most influential DJ right now, but him a use him influence wrong, and him know that too. This time me a end di discussion by showing him seh Jesus' lyrics can mashup him slackness, and then I show him the scriptures and why he needs Christ," D.A.Jay stated. "Jamaica should know that Kartel cannot change unless him find the real change- Christ Jesus. Mi experience dah change deh first hand."

D.A.Jay's first instalment, "Seek the Father (Letter to Kartel)" has continued to receive extensive play online and on radio, with several news agencies including OGNR, TVJ, RJR, ZipFM, CVMTV and RJR covering the story of the "Christian DJ who challenged Kartel to come to Christ." Both songs have been released to the public free of charge.

Does Kartel have any relevance ? I mean the bleaching thing is musical (entertainment ) suicide, to embrace and support it is madness.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

How can one not go public about bleaching? U realize how dumb dat sound? He would have to not go public to not go public about bleaching if u zimmy. As long as he remains as talented as he is, his career cannot end. He would have to go real far in a song to end his career, eg. sing that he eats di low meat or send pipe inna di wrong passage yuh zimmy. he has always been talented it's just that he wasn't getting the attention he deserved. Beenie controlled the dancehall with controversy, which is what kartel is doing right now to get his recognition, however, kartel is a more talented lyricist.

Kartel is very calculated, he's of the opinion that there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Kartel makes a major point - what do we have to say about women who wear white and chiney people hair?
